Many people associate hypnosis with something like stage hypnosis, in any case a state that only a few people can achieve. Yet we find ourselves in a hypnosis-like state several times a day, for example when we "daydream", shortly before falling asleep or when we wake up. This means that everyone can be hypnotized. Therapeutic hypnosis is a trance-like state. The following hypnosis self-test serves as an initial assessment of your suggestibility. Most people are able to engage well with hypnosis. Some clients are able to go deeply into trance on the first attempt, while others need a little more time. What many of our clients describe is that the state of trance changes with each hypnosis and deepens each time.
Using the following questions from everyday situations, you can test how easily you enter a hypnosis/trance state. The scores from the individual questions add up to a total. The minimum score is 10, the maximum is 50. You will receive the result as soon as you have answered all the questions. If you score 15 or less, please let us know at your appointment.
